PRONTO's Long Island food pantry of PRONTO offers food to families in the community who are in need. The majority of the food is provided by donations from the private sector, food drives and personal contributions. Our staff coordinates a dedicated group of community leaders and volunteers who work throughout the year to keep our food pantry stocked with basic food. In 2003, Pronto provided 10,620 individuals with food supplement or bags of food. One third were homeless, one eighth were veterans and the majority were our neighbors who needed help during their critical time.
